Researchers from the Revive Project Team attended the First Tourism Congress, held in Arcos de Valdevez from January 30 to February 1.
On January 31, during Panel V – “Projects and the Municipality,” Fernando Cerqueira Barros presented the communication “Traditional Architecture – Between Socioeconomic Dynamics and Cultural Tourism: Threshing Floors, Granaries, and Canastros as a Strategic Resource.” Daniel Oliveira and Clara Pimenta do Vale delivered a joint communication titled “Preservation and Valorization of Vernacular Heritage: From Tools to Action,” in which the REVIVE project was presented.
On February 1, during Panel VII – “The Risks That May Arise from Tourism in Arcos de Valdevez”, Clara Pimenta do Vale presented the communication “From the Grand Tour to Mass Tourism: A Reflection on Benefits and Risks”.
